It catches the dough, even though I generously cover the inside with flour. I am actually not very happy with this purchase for that reason only. I do like that it is woven cotton cord. If I could return it that might be better for me. Roxane Tash Reis
I honestly don’t have words to describe how life-changing this has been.
I’m originally from India and have been living in Canada for over 15 years. During this time, I struggled a lot with what I thought was wheat intolerance. Every time I ate conventional flour, I would feel extremely bloated and often had to rush to the restroom. It got so bad that I completely stopped eating whole wheat.
But being Indian, it’s hard to stay away from roti and bread for long.

And honestly, it changed everything.

A successful resurrection/reactivation or whatever the technical process should be called! Sadly, although I produced a very nice loaf the maintenance of the starter was " less than ideal" and it moved on to that great bakery in the sky! Low-maintenance is, apparently, not the same as neglect!
Grear product, prompt delivery. It was fortunate that the flour was in a plastic bag, since the box was ;eft on the porch and I did not end up with wallpaper paste!

I’ve just made a banana bread. I didn’t have any type of intolerance or any allergic reaction. I will be trying a no knead bread recipe. I’m sure this is a great purchase. I will be starting my sourdough next week.

Amazing bread came from this. The sourdough starter really ate it up and it was overproofed but still it was a fantastic loaf. Excited about working with this more!
This is the flour I remember from decades ago. As a child in Saskatchewan I baked a lot. It is not overprocessed and blends well. Not floaty and clumpy in liquids. I do strain it just to break it up from settling but has produced fantastic goods!

I am so thrilled with my sourdough bread, discard muffins, ( bran, chocolate and banana.) The banana bread and focaccia bread are incredible also.
I order so much of the Red Fife 5 kg I seriously need to take a road trip to Better Basics facility and pick up a couple of 20 kg bags.
I switched to this flour and making my own bread a few months back. I just noticed so many GI issues with traditional bread, and the betrayal by a national 'healthy' bread being found to have glycophates just threw me over the edge. Since then, I've experienced exactly zero GI issues with my homemade bread using only this flour. I am thrilled! I am still trying to find the exact recipe that works in my bread maker without sinking, etc. but the taste is far superior to any other bread I've eaten. Love it and am a loyal fan!
