Shipping Policy

Order Processing

After receiving your order confirmation email, all orders are processed within 5 to 7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). You will receive another notification once your order has shipped. Please note that processing times may be extended during high-volume periods or due to postal service issues outside of our control.

Flat Rate Shipping

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

While we offer flat-rate shipping, some locations may not be feasible for us to serve. If we are unable to ship to your address, we will contact you with alternative options.

Local Delivery

Local delivery is available within Calgary (city limits) and Okotoks for a flat rate of $12. Deliveries are made Tuesday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM. You will be notified via email once your order has been delivered.

International Shipping

We currently offer international shipping to the USA.

  • Flat rate: $20 for orders between 4 kg and 25 kg.
  • Shipping charges are displayed at checkout.

Please note that international orders may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are the responsibility of the customer. Better Basics Milling is not responsible for these charges.

If we are unable to ship to your location for economic reasons, we will contact you with alternative options.

Shipping Delays

Once an order has been shipped and is in the possession of the courier, Better Basics Milling is not responsible for delays caused by weather, customs, strikes, or other courier-related issues. While we understand these delays can be frustrating, they are beyond our control.

Because of this, orders cannot be canceled or refunded once they have been shipped, even if they are delayed in transit. We will, however, do everything possible to support you in tracking your package and working with the courier to resolve delivery issues.

Order Status

When your order ships, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking information to update.

If you have not received your order within 15 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@betterbasicsmilling.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. Boxes

We primarily ship via courier and cannot always deliver to P.O. boxes. A home address is preferred. If your order is shipped to a P.O. box and returned to us, shipping costs will be deducted from your order value. In some cases, orders shipped to P.O. boxes may be canceled before fulfillment.

Return to Sender

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful and your order is returned to our facility, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. Please note:

  • Reshipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Our $12 flat rate does not apply to reshipments.
  • If you choose to cancel your order instead, the original shipping fees will be deducted from your refund.

Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges

We accept returns up to 30 days after delivery. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will refund the full order amount minus shipping costs for the return.

If your order arrives damaged, please email us at info@betterbasicsmilling.com with your order number and a photo of the damage. We review these cases individually and will work with you toward a satisfactory resolution.
